The objective of this project was to create an experience that embodied the FreshBooks brand in a fresh, creative and memorable way for the accounting side of the business. In the beginning stages of the project I brainstormed with the stakeholders to identify experiences that could set us apart from the other businesses attending the event, and how to get attendees to interact with our booth and spend time with our brand ambassadors.
I then created two different mood boards, one explored a theme of a coffee shop and collaboration where the other was more focused on a refreshed way of accountants and clients working together. I presented the two concepts and the team liked ideas from both. I combined winning themes from both ideas to create the final mood board.
I collaborated with the copywriter to create headlines that would capture the attention of people walking by that would also relate to the overall theme of the booth which was “fresher together”. I used UI from the accounting side of the business and specific benefits that the team wanted to call out for the back wall of the banner paired with a strong headline with the main benefit “smarter collaboration, fresher results”.
I wanted to incorporate the fresher together theme in a visual way, so I designed a faux living wall with a neon sign mounted, this also served a purpose to encourage attendees to take pictures at the booth. I incorporated a comfortable sitting area so that attendees could sit and chat with FreshPac advisors, or have a live product walk through with a FreshBooker. I designed a prize wheel so that attendees could interact and possibly win something which would further encourage people to visit the booth. I designed swag with trendy sayings and fun graphics which put the emphasis on the accountant and not the FreshBooks brand to encourage them to want to wear them around the event.
Overall, attendees enjoyed the swag, took lots of pictures with the booth and the team came home with 300+ quality leads.
